Our relationship to Bloom Lending

This site shares common ownership with Bloom Lending, LLC, a licensed mortgage lender, and it recommends Bloom Lending. That is a real conflict of interest and we'd rather you hear it from us than discover it later. It appears in the footer of every page for the same reason.

What that affiliation does not change: the rate data on this site comes from Mortgage News Daily and the Federal Reserve, is shown with attribution, and is never re-keyed, adjusted, or re-timed by us. We don't publish a rate table of our own, because a site that both reports averages and advertises its own pricing gives you two numbers and no way to tell which one is marketing.

What this site is not

It is not a lender. It does not take mortgage applications, does not collect loan-application information, and cannot approve, deny, or price a loan. Nothing published here is a commitment to lend, an offer of credit, or personalised financial advice. If you want a decision about your situation, you need a licensed loan originator looking at your actual file.

How we're funded

The site earns nothing from advertising networks and runs no third-party ad trackers. It is funded by its ownership, and it may be compensated when a reader becomes a Bloom Lending client. There is no paid placement: no lender, servicer, or vendor can buy a mention, a ranking, or a favourable description here.

Corrections

Rate commentary ages badly and market pieces are written the same day the market moves, so mistakes are possible. When we get something wrong we fix the article and note the correction rather than quietly editing it. Our full standards are in the editorial policy.
